so im trying to figure out what i need to do for my unit to convert it to electric.

its 44"x44"x28"

its insulated somewhat. i am going to add some more to it as soon as i get a chance. i currently run a smoke daddy pellet unit on it but it seems a tad small for the size of my smoker or my airflow is jacked up....

i will have access to 220 once we get the sub panel ran out to the shed. so i have some decent options

alot of guys have tossed some good info my way just still unsure which way to go and which would best suit me. also dont want to spend more then what i would need to.

i have tossed around the idea of adding an oven element and a small blower to circulate the air and make smoke from an AMPS unit. we do large amounts of deer meat in the winter for some guys for some side cash so the more efficient i can make this the better for us. I also looked at the 5000 watt blower unit from the 100 lbs sausage smoker. as of now i have 2 4" exhaust about 6-8" from the top of my unit. i planned on closing those off and placing an exhaust opposite of the heat source to force kind of a reverse flow. i am also going to cut out my current heat shield and re-purpose it

Why do you think smoke daddy to small your smoker size is not really that big what's the problem you are having ?

You can buy a element for a smokehollow with temp controller built in to plug with would work fine and it's simple and around 50$

It cooks great at andything over 200 but doesn't like low temps. I only need 170-180 for the sticks and Bologna

Ok i built my smoker for sausage and sticks with 1500watt element it works great but when doing competition BBQ can't use electric so I put smoke daddy in and pull element out. When running element I can smoke 75 # of sticks at a time or 100# of butts i

What temp you run on the sticks?

yea that's what I did with my MES but the smoke daddy didn't like anything under 200 on my smoker that's why I'm going electric with a small try of chips over a line of charcoal (just enough to get some good smoke)

I'm going to repurpose the smoke daddy on a smaller fridge build

what casings do you use to hang your sticks?

Just a clear casing or mahogany from butcher shop
