So Finally checked the kamado Joe classic 2 out in person, it seems so small!! Is it really big enough for that kind of money?? I don't smoke large amounts of food but I do grill for 6 or 8 people very often but this would be used for smoking mainly I guess.

I read such great things about it, seems like a solid purchase. It would be my first kamado purchase.

15 years from now when my other grill is dead, will this be big enough for me to grill steaks for 6 or 7 people???

OK maybe I'm missing something, given that no one has given a response.

I'll be patient, good things come to those who wait :-)

If you are worried about the size then I would spring for the extra and get the Big Joe. I love mine and wouldn't trade it for a Classic. I have never heard anyone say the wish they had gotten  a smaller grill. With the lifetime warranty on the ceramics you will still be cooking on it 15 years from now. If you look at it on an annual basis, the difference between the Classic and the Big Joe is less than $50 per year, over the lifespan of the grill.

I went with the Big Joe...Costco deal helped that decision too but I'd rather have too large a Kamado than too small
