Molokai
Aloha ya'all! Recently moved back home to Molokai from northern Colorado where I was running a cattle ranch for the last 4 years. I have been grillin and smokin and drying meats for the last 45 years. Everything from wild pig, feral sheep and goat, beef, elk, deer, and believe it or not, beaver, raccoon, bear, cougar and all types of fish.

I wanted to join this group to learn more as well as help others who are beginning.

Also because I read some posts about the Char Griller grills. I've used then for the last 30 years and just want to pass on something I haven't seen anyone say yet. The Char Griller is cast iron. What must we do to or cast iron pans? My first griller is still used by my son...28 years! You need to cure the Griller outside inside and the grates the same way you cure a new cast iron skillet. Heat it hot, oil it, 3 or 4 times. And do it again anytime you have the time if you don't use it often.

Thank you for accepting my request.

Welcome to SMF!

Mahalo to all of you my bruddas! Looking forward to learning from some of the best. If I can add anything, it would be a double pleasure.
