So I went to use my Mav 732 the last week, turned it on and both probes read over 100 degrees.  It was only 70's in the basement.

So I went looking on Amazon cause I needed one quick and I am a prime member.

I found this.

Opened the box, packed just like the Mav.

Boil water test time.  Perfect.

Ice water not so close but close enough for me.

SO I wanted to know what happened to my old Mav.   Plugged my old hybrid probes in to the new Mav and it read 106 and 90 on the probes.   Plugged the new probes into the old Mav and the temps were spot on.   SOOOOOO  looks like both probes went bad at the same time.

So for 25.00 I got a new Mav.  Just need to buy another set of probes and I will have 2 working Mav 732.     This one came with the standard 3ft probes.

Hi farmer. I've been using the ChefAlarm for a couple years now and I'm constantly having issues with them ( original and replacement) not reading correctly. I think I'm going to try the cuisinart thermos out. Do yo have a model # for it?

I don't have the  model number but the Mavrick number is 732.

One of the leading causes of failure is moisture getting inside the probe. When this occurs, just put the probe (not including the plastic connector) into a 350F oven for a few hours. This has fixed my faulty probes every time.
