If I had a 20" round end cap I am sure I would be good but I don't want round ends.

So currently my opening at the end is 3"x17" rectangle. Will that be enough?

But it didn't really help me because my FBto CC is football shaped.

Then when I cut the doors I was not thinking about the opening at the RF plate.

Outside dimensions of CC is 20"x 54" with 0.500" wall pipe and 3/8" end plates. So basically 19"x 53" internally.

FB is 20"x32" external

19 X 19 X  .7854 x 53  x 0.004 =  60 sq. in. FB/CC opening, under the RF plate and at the end of the RF plate...

Recalculated...

We ain't going to space in her its just a cooker. ;) :) The end gap problem is common on flat heads because if you do not adjust when you cut the door your plate closes you in. You could cut the plate back while you have it open It probably only needs 1" off.

I can easily get another 3/8" if I cut a 20" plate instead of using the 19" plate I have ready.

I also have a 6" long piece of 20" pipe. I could take that on and then install the endplate. Just another days work. Lol

Is it better to be '17 sq inches under or 17 sq inches over. I guess if your over you can regulate the flow with the air Inlet and exhaust cap.
