Greetings from Australia!

I'm an American living in Australia.  I bought a Char-Griller deluxe with SFB about 6 months ago.  I've had some good cooks and so so cooks.  No total disasters (yet :)    Having spent years with gas BBQs, I've come full circle and love cooking with charcoal.

I'm ready to step it up a level with the mods but unfortunately, it's a bit tough here sourcing materials. A Home Depot or Lowes would go great here.

I'm looking around for expanded metal, and at first, was thinking a flat grate, but after reading - will aim to make the box.  After I find that, I still need to find something to elevate it. That rack that came with it is toast. I've looked on the web - hard to see what's under the baskets.

Struggling with the dryer vent as well.  3" does not seem to available here, so I'm looking for alternatives (must be a metric thing)

I'm glad to see this forum and look forward to reading up, learning  and salivating at the yummy pics!

Hello and welcome to the CG owners group.

For my sfb grate, I use a small cooking grate that came from a discarded gas grill,  It fits just right, on top of the  drawer slides. It leaves plenty of room underneath for air flow, and I can use it without the box, or just set my box on it when I use it.

Lucky.

No such luck for me atm.  Spent all day calling around.  No one has anything or anything small they'll sell me a 1200X2400 for $100 plus!
