Picked up a couple shoulders to do pulled pork. 1st one qe pulled and yjawed is a good large one weighing in at 12#. Gave it a rinse cleaned it up and gave it a good rub and let it stick good. Rub waa SPOG added brown sugar, cayenne, and a the last of our New Mexico Hatch Chile powder. Put it on the smoker last night at 11pm at 200f. Had my cross shift mist it last night at with apple juice and Appleton rum mix. This should feed a dozen if us or so. Will update as we go....

Decided to do baked beans ae well. I went with Pinto beans. Soaked over night, made a ham brine added a couple Poblano peppers, 3 jalapenos, molasses, cayenne NM chile powder, salt, pepper, couple splashes of wort and ketchup, then a pound of thick cut bacon and a ham steak. Went ti put it into the bean pot but I made to much. So now its in a large pot baking for a couple hrs then to the smoker. These are spicy and sweet, They have a good kick to them as well, Should be interesting.

Well pulled the shoulder out at 203, wraped it for an hr while i made the sauce. Followed a version of Cranky' but i added some extra juice from the beans.
Unwrapped and pulled it sauced and brought it over to the office shack to start.
Brought out the beans and away we went, fed the day and night crew as well as office shack guys. Beans had a nice zip to offset the sweetness. No pic of the plate it went quick.

AB Looking good the crew couldn't get treated any better.Points for sharing
