Well it's been 13 years and we have learned to eat at home for most nicer diners. Tonight it's a strip for me and a ribeye for her,with bacon wrapped asparagus.

Okay cooked around the Vortex with a hunk of pecan and lump. Pulled the asparagus to finish in the oven it was easier to deal with. Here's the steaks resting, my strip was dripping lots of fat so I didn't get great grill marks but the important one looks nice.Thumbs Up

Yum! That looks phenomenal!! We still eat out more than we should but we're getting close to being able to all our favorites better at home. Points to you sir for a great looking dinner. I think I can taste it from here.

My congratulations to you both. 13 must be the lucky number--Miss Linda and I just hit 13 years 6 months ago.

The food looks spectacular; obviously there's absolutely no reason to dine out!!!!! Being as strip loin is my favorite steak, I'm very disappointed my invite got lost in the mail.

POINTS for a fantastic anniversary smoke.

Those steaks look perfect, and I need to try bacon wrapped asparagus for sure!

The only time we eat out is when traveling. It's casual at home, cheaper, and cooking is fun.

Congrats on the 13 years and a point for the plates!

Thanks Gary,sorry I forgot the stamp on your invite.:biggrin:. I'm a strip fan as well but the ribeye looked better then I normally see and I almost tried one as well.
