They gotta chain these things up. They keep following us home.

This one came with a free cover and bag of pellets for $549 for the non-wifi one at Sportsman's Warehouse.

There was a guy outside demonstrating them, and he made up some pretty good grub. Had a couple slices of a bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin.

And yeah, I'm aware of the other thread about the temp difference issues. I'll work through it.

Thanks! Now I just have to make room for it. Gonna sell my Weber One-Touch Gold, modified Charbroil Horizontal, and trash an old propane grill that I haven't used in years. That will leave me with my MES30 w/ mailbox mod, commercial fridge electric conversion, and Weber Performer, plus the new pellet grill. I should still be okay.

Think you are going to like it. Remember the smoke taste will be milder in a pellet smoker, so you may want to invest in a Amazen Tube or Smoke Daddy Ring for additional smoke.
I am getting close to getting the temp difference under control. A new controller (non wifi) seems to be helping along with the small adjustments to the heat shield. It has been 90+ degrees here, so my testing temps maybe running hotter than usual. So I will make adjustment to the temp to compensate. I am going to get some LavaLock gasket material to seal up the door better. Then do more testing and I anticipate/hope everything is where I want them to be or pretty close.

Yeah, that was the first thing I noticed when I did the burn in today. Smoke came pouring out all around the door. There doesn't seem to be any huge gaps, so I'm thinking it may only need some thin, felt gasket added.

The first try at the start up didn't take. For some reason the pellets that came with it didn't ignite in the firebox like they were supposed to. I kept waiting for the temp to go up, and then after about 15 minutes I heard the sound of pellets hitting the belly area. The pellets were overflowing the cold firebox, so I had to clean those out and start over. Second time was the charm, though. It's working like a champ, now.

Nothing prettier than a brand new piece of bbq equipment.
