I'm serving smoked pulled pork tacos on Sunday afternoon. My plan is to mix some taco seasoning and brown sugar and rub a 4 lb boston butt and let it marinade for 24 hours. Saturday night i'm going to put it in the MES and sometime Sunday morning i'll pull it when it reaches temp. My thought was to pull (shred) it and put it in a crock pot to keep warm until the afternoon. My question is, what can I put with it in the crock pot to keep it moist? Any critiques to my thought process are welcome. This is my first time doing this.

I would look up carnitas and try the seasoning over taco,if your using a packet. I suggest a drip pan under your butt and keep some chicken broth in it the flavors will work well. You can even toss some peppers and onions in there for a couple hours but pull the veggies before there cooked to total mush. Then just mix some of your drip pan liquid into the meat as needed.
