Can anyone suggest a good beef rib rub?
I was thinking about just salt and pepper or Montreal steak but was worried that could be too salty with the bark to meat ratio (I'm planing on using Montreal steak seasoning for a prime rib roast later this month, because there is so much meat compared to the small amount of bark you get, it shouldn't be too salty)
I'm doing pork ribs and beef ribs and actually use a brisket rub on my pork ribs. When I first started smoking I made a brisket rub then looked at a pork rib rub and they were so similar I didn't bother making it and just used the brisket rub. The ribs turned out great and I've been using it ever since.
I'm not sure why but I don't want to put the same rub on both the pork and beef ribs, I'd like them to be different.
Any suggestions or input?
Thanks
