Got the new Hakka all cleaned and set up. This is a heavy duty piece of equipment and so far seems well worth the money. Came with 4 different sized stuffing tubes and it's 2 speed. Canister comes off easy and is a breeze to clean. I'm happy....so far!

Also bought 15lbs of pork butt [emoji]128522[/emoji] And some peeled fresh garlic to add to my Andouille. Stay tuned......looking to maybe get a batch done tomorrow! Of course Q-View will be on the agenda too.

I got the 11 pound model a couple years ago,  my only concern is trying to find a place to buy a replacement gasket for the plunger.  I havent found one yet so unless somebody else can help us out,  make sure you are very careful with the gaskets and other little pieces.  I have been pretty happy with it over all except a flat bottom on the meat hopper would be nice for filling,  but for the price I really cant complain.  Best of luck.

thanks for the help,  I know they werent available when I bought the stuffer.

Does your unit creak and bang a bit when using the smaller stuffing tubes?  Every now and then i get a noise that doesnt sound healthy,  but it never shows any issues so I guess everything is alright.
Not mine.....so far it's running smooth as can be.  The only issue I have found is when reloading the stuffer as the seal of the plate pushes a lont of air through.  Is there a trick?

not really,  it needs a 2 way air release so that the vacuum is broken between the remaining meat and the plunger when you retract it for reloading.  I think it pulls air in through the stuffer tube or something because mine will start up hard and then you get a sucking sound and it cranks up easily after that.  The air has to be below the remaining meat other wise you would displace it when you reload.  I usually try to tip the drum on its side a bit and kind of pack the meat down in there at an angle by hand to push any air up the higher side as I fill it... ( if that makes any sense?)
