Hey all, done some chicken fried steak on the kettle last nite with help of the vortex.

Seasoned the cube steak with SPOG.

Run them thru a seasoned egg wash & some crushed up corn flakes.

Onto the kettle/vortex with some RO lump.

Plated pics, had these with some taters & gravy, green beans & French toast.

These turned out good, will definitely do this again... but I think I'll pull em just a few minutes earlier next time.

Thanks for lookin all.

Thanks Richie, these turned out good. Appreciate ya dropping a line & the point my friend!

Nice Justin!  How long did you cook them?  I've been cooking wings on my vortex for 30-40 minutes and they've been too dry.  Last time, I checked the IT after 20 minutes and they were over 165!  That Vortex gets hot!

Thanks Mike, I didn't time these like I should have but approx 45 min. Yea, I've done the same with wings too. Totally agree, that thing gets so hot I dang near branded a Weber emblem on my hand the first time I used it.

Thanks Adam, I'm wonderin if the spray you use or some Olive oil would work?? I think it might, I just really pressed the corn flake crumbs into these to get em to stick. Hope that helps & appreciate the point.

In my world Justin, chicken fried steak is a food group all by itself. I haven't had it in years but I sure will be soon after seeing how good yours turned out. Personally I like white gravey with mine.

POINTS for reminding me.

Gary

Thanks Gary, we love CFS & any gravy... LOL. Appreciate ya dropping a line & the point my friend.
