Texas Traeger !!

Thank you for allowing me to join this group.  Even though we have lived in Texas all our lives, we are new to the smoker world.  We just recently purchased a Traeger Pro 34.  Everything so far has turned out great.  I did have a bit of trouble today, trying to grill steaks. Seems like I just couldn't get the Traeger hot enough. It would only get to about 400 F, so I emptied the pellets, and put in Mesquite Pellets.  That worked fine.  Now to find a brand of really good pellets, that will produce enough heat for grilling.  We have the smoking part down pat.  Thank you all.
