Like the title says, mom will hit 72 tomorrow and I asked her what she wanted for her birthday. "Brisket, ribs, and your homemade BBQ sauce"!

So, being a good son, I went shopping. Big packer and 4 racks of ribs will be smoked.

But before I fire up the smoker, I needed to fuel up!

Farm fresh eggs, homemade bacon, and a little Tillamook pepper jack cheese!

More later...

I can see some tasty sammiches from the leftovers, not to mention a killer birthday dinner!Thumbs Up

I would lick the walls of that pit chamber

Ha! It's quite seasoned for sure. At almost 10 years old, it's had well over a ton (seriously) of meats ran through it.

Pulled the ribs to pan up for about 1.5 hours. They look good, smell great, and the piece that "fell off", tasted pretty good too!

Cranky happy birthday to your mom!
Nice breakfast...and it gave me laugh brisket and ribs order. She is keeping you busy.

I am just simply Jealous period, It looks great!!!! You need another mouth to feed??? Taking in any strays????

Lookin good Cranky, quick question though-

Why did you start the ribs with the brisket? Are the meats being eaten all together?

And how long did you cook the brisket?

Thanks!
