Hi!  My name is Stacy and I've been grilling for over 20 years and smoking for about 8 years.  I'm using a Buffalo Trace bourbon barrel as my smoker at this time and it's doing me well so far.  I'm in the market for a new smoker and hope to find some advice and learn new techniques here.

Stacy, welcome to SMF!  Glad you are here and bringing all that experience with you.  Just give folks an idea what you're looking for in a smoker and we'll send you in lots of directions.  The perfect one for you will quickly become apparent.

Have fun!

Ray

Welcome to the board, Stacy! Yes, tell us what you plan to smoke, how much room you have, etc. Also, are you looking for a set-and-forget rig like one that lets you go to sleep during a 16-hour smoke? Whatever type of smoker you choose, it will have some drawbacks but there are plenty of modifications listed here to improve it.

Good morning and welcome to the forum from a cloudy, humid and windy day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web.         Lots of great people with tons of information on just about everything.
