Hey all,

Relatively new smoker here, bought a cheapo offset charcoal smoker two years ago that only lasted one season. Was an absolute nightmare to use between the leaks, warping, and heat loss, but I was still hooked anyways.

Just finished unloading my new broil king offset charcoal smoker off the freight truck. Gonna assemble it tonight and hopefully get it seasoned and a test run on a brisket this weekend.

Looking forward to perusing the forum here tonight when I'm off work.

Thanks guys, wasn't able to get her assembled tonight, likely do it tomorrow while the weather is poor. At least it's in the shop waiting for me haha.

For reference this was my cheapo that got me started. Had to wrap it in insulation just to get the temps kind of stable. Also doubled as a door sealer. Always too afraid to do any chicken or pork on it so I stuck to only doing beef dishes. Can't wait to expand my horizons.
