Hello All,

I am just getting into smoking about a month 1/2 ago .. I bought my first Masterbuilt Vertical Gas smoker .. I have done wings on it. I love this smoker.

I spent about 4 months figuring out what type unit I wanted to buy, I am happy with my choice!

So today is the first time I am doing a 8.5lb Pork Butt on it, I have been Leery because I don't want to mess it up, but I was overthinking it I think lol. I have been reading as much info as I can do learn. I am sure to learn a bunch here!

Welcome! Pork butt/shoulder is possibly the most forgiving hunk of flesh you can smoke so nothing to be leery about. Just be patient and let it do it's thing. Make sure to post pics of your smoke. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Welcome to SMF!

Looks like your getting nice clean smoke out of your smoker.

I bet the butt will be fantastic!
