I'm currently building a 125 gallon reverse flow. When I cut the CC door the tank rather than the door sprung. The top and bottom of opening in the center of the door are sticking out past the door by about 1/8". The radiused ends line up perfect. I was prepared to straighten the door but I'm not sure how to go about fixing the tank itself.

Some info on the smoker. CC is 24" diameter and about 62" long including the domed end. The door is 49" wide. The RF plate and drain are already welded in.

Any ideas? Here's a couple pics right after I cut the door. It was worse in the pics than it is now. Grinding all the slag from the plasma and all the welding for the RF plate made it a little better.

One way to pull the tank in is to run some weld beads on the inside along the door opening. Since you only need about 1/8" it should not take too many beads to get in in. Best to do this with a stick welder, but if you are MIG, just go slow and work the puddle for a wide bead.

You can also wrap a chain around the tank and put a hydraulic jack between the chain and the high spot and push it in with the jack.
The other way is to use the BFH (Big Freakin' Hammer) and whack it into shape.

What ever you do, good luck.
