i just read Jeffs newsletter this morning on pulled pork. I just happen to have 70 lb of butts with his rub on them in the smoker. in section 5 on pulling he says to add 1/2 cup of his rub and mix in. Do you think this is a typo? and should be his BBQ sauce instead?

Because in the ingredient list it has BBQ sauce , no mention of it in the article.

"If you happened to catch some of the juices from the pork butt while it cooked in the smoker, you can remove the fat then pour some of that tasty au jus over the meat and stir it in.

Add about ½ cup of Jeff's original rub  (purchase recipes here) to the pulled pork and mix that in real good with your hands. Taste it then add more if you want to.

Admire your mad smoking skills for a moment and then call in the troops for dinner!"

Thanks Dave in Kamloops B.C.

I would think the BBQ Sauce would be for the side (if wanted) and adding more rub into the pulled pork would make it that much more flavorful.

My thoughts.
