So the wife and I have a kitchen aid mixer. Been thing about getting the meat grinder attachment as well as the sausage stuffing one too, I currently have an Oklahoma Joe's smoker half propane half offset,

I want to try smoking sausage but not sure what to expect, does it come out done and ready to eat? Come out similar to a hotdog or store made where you just throw it on the grill to get some marks and. Heat it up?

Anyone try smoking this on an offset? Always see people on TV doing it vertically but not sure if that matters or not.
