Many of us are long time veteran smokers here. We all have done hundreds of pounds of pork butts. I'm doing 80 pounds today. Hundreds of racks of ribs. Countless pounds of briskets. A hen house full of chickens and turkeys. Name something you have not smoked. For me it's ABT's I have never made a single one. Not sure why except that I'm not much into the hot stuff these days.

Oh, and I think I've done only a couple fatties in my time. I find them to tedious and time consuming to make.

So name something you have not smoked! Maybe this thread will inspire us to do that one thing we haven't done!

I have yet to do a fatty. I just never have enough bacon on hand to justify using it all on one thing. One thing I really want to do is a whole hog.

Fatties the ones yous' are talking about LOL & Baby Back Ribs, soon to change that on sale this week $1.99 lb.

Wow almost 3 years and 8000 posts and you've never done baby backs?

I guess ribs of any kind are something I didn't expect to see listed. Lets us know how it goes when you do them. $1,99 is a steal!

Tri-tip as they are hard to find in Texas but I have one in my freezer from Whiskey Ridge Cattle Company. Can't wait to try it!!!

Tri Tip is awesome. I could never find them around here either. Then about 2 years ago I got hooked up with a restaurant supply company through a friend who works there and I could get them through them. Now I always have them in the freezer. Making fajitas with tri tip this weekend for about 30 people.

First i would like to say i that if you want to try ABT and don't like spicy things use sweet peppers. here you can buy a multicolored bag for like $3 at wally world and use those it make is a good abt that is mild and if you use something like blueberry ream cheese you can make something really neat...

For something i haven't smoked...whole hog is something i want to smoke when i grow up!

I also would really love to do a beef tenderloin.

Happy Smoking,
