Filtering, or minimally dissipating, the smoke from my stack?

Hey guys and gals!  First post here.

I have a Yoder Cimarron in a pretty well-populated area.  I run the smoker 6 days a week, and the neighbors are starting to complain about the smoke.  Does anyone know of any way to minimize the smoke coming out of my stack?  I have seen a YouTube video of a guy who made his own charcoal filter for his smoker, and it seemed to work beautifully.  The problem is that he used electricity to power the fan that sucked the smoke into his charcoal filter.  Electricity is an issue for the location of my smoker.  Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I'd look into making a charcoal filter. I seem to remember somebody doing it on here with charcoal and steel wool.
Another thought is to extend your stack to get the smoke above your neighbors noses. Not sure what it would do to your draft, but just throwing it out there.

Depending on your budget, i would use a fume extractor similar to what welders use, right next to your smoke stack or extend the stack to roof level

I don't get it, either. Some people are just curmudgeons, I guess, stickyFingers!
Thanks all for your suggestions! I will look into making a charcoal filter or buying a fine extractor.

Put a big effing, noisy fan behind the stack and then let them decide on sweet TBS or a noisy fan for an 11 hour pulled pork smoke! Sharing the pulled pork may swing the decision.[emoji]128512[/emoji]

I would install an outhouse then tell them you will get rid of one (Smoker or outhouse) but not both and let them choose.

People wonder why I live out in the country where getting a loaf of bread is a 20 mile trip.  I can do as I please on my own property...That's why.
