Hi, I'm Steve A from Southern Minnesota. I've muttled around trying to smoke meat but I have one hellova time finding paper large enough to roll one :yahoo:
ANYWAY, it was great to stumble across this site. I've been on here for some time and decided to join in. Thanks for the friendly welcome.

SIZE=3]Hi again, I didn't know how to post a picture of my stuff on the first post, so I'll try again. I have a CharBroil 6 burner that I built into our deck, patio area and a gas vertical smoker. (at the shop for repairs) I added a converted picnic griller under the bbq and added a smoke stack to feed smoke into the CBG. This is the first time I've used it, and I've spent the last few days researching how to begin on SMF. It seems to work quite well, I am using 1 burner on each end to maintain 225* and watching the smoke generator closely. I put 5 fist size lumps of mesquite on top of I layer of coals( learned this on SMF) and started my burn. It produced TBS for the first hour then I noticed my grill temp started going up, (FIRE IN THE HOLE) quenched the fire lightly and every went back to normal.2 1/2 hours and internal meat temps are around 150*. WOW, DOES THE SMOKE SMELL GREAT....... WHAT A SWEET WAY TO START OUT A SPRING DAY......... IM ALREADY SALIVATING IN ANTICIPATION.ATTACHwMENT=3305[][
