Hi ya'll. My name is Doug.Iv'e been smoking for many years now. Iv'e tried several ways of smoking like open pit, charcoal,drum, offset drum, pellets grills/smokers and now I have a Smoke Hollow 44 Pro. as you can see, through the years that there's been a progression of styles in the ever ending quest for that balance between the real deal and not so painful. I look forward to interacting with members here, learning and shearing.

Doug, welcome to the forums. Great place to learn, share and interact. With your many years of knowledge, I'm sure you will provide a lot of useful insight.

I also have a SH 44 pro. Love that big beauty. I have made lots of great grub on it. Could use a few minor mods though.

Hi Mark, and thank you I just recently got my 44, that's what led me to find this great forum. I myself have done mods already or as I call them upgrades. The 44 has great bones as I've explained to My Wife it just needed some enhancing to get it where i wanted it to be. She goes why are you fixing it, if it's brand-new, LOL.

Or something like a drop leaf style shelf that folds down against the smoker. next is bracing the legs and some form of insolation.

I also added a shelf, but need to adjust it so it's quick on and off to allow for covering.

The wheels are an absolute must, so much easier.
