I have a charbroil electric smoker. My dog chewed the meat prob that came with it. The cost for me to replace that in shipping is the same price as the thermo pro tp07 my wife already ordered it so is this a good by or should I return it and get something else

I have a 6 and 7, and they're great.  Straightforward, solidly built, no learning curve, accurate--these are really good thermometers without gimmicks or paying an arm and a leg.  Lifetime warranty on the probe is an added bonus.  Enjoy.

I just ordered the TP20.

I've never had the TP07 or any ThermoPro product but the reviews seem to suggest it would be fine for you.

To answer your question... I personally would send it back and get the TP20 in order to have dual probes.

Especially when you can go to the  iTronix website and use the coupon code: SMOKINGMEATFORUM    (with no S at the end) to get 20% off.  It will be free shipping and likely be tax free.

I hope this info helps :)
