Hello SMF!

Pretty new to smoking, done a couple of butts, a few rib cooks, and some chicken quarters. Definitely have a lot to learn but am looking forward to some delicious learning and experimenting.

Right now just "attempting" smoking on my 18" Weber kettle and propane grill, but am looking to get either a WSM when the funds are available or build a UDS if I can find a drum (anyone know where I could acquire in Western KY?).

Anyway here are a few pictures from my most recent butt cook on the Weber kettle.

10# butt, Hickory Chunks, kept between 225-250. Took about 12.5 hours (finished in the oven because tiny grill) but the wife said it was worth the wait!

That is all for now. Thanks for being such a great resource and I look forward to learning and eventually contributing!
