Hi, New member here.
Just bought a Masterbuilt 30" smoker and a Masterbuilt slow smoke attachment.
Have already put it together and completed the "smoke-in" procedure for both units.
I had an older(versiion 1, i guess) and really liked it. It got old and funky so I decided to buy another.
Alas, they have really reduced the size of the chip bin and it would only smoke for about thirty minutes without adding chips, so I bought the slow smoker attachment.
I will not be using the attachment for cold smoke and I understand that it doesn't work too well for that anyway. (Too hot!)
Everything worked as advertised with surprisingly better smoke production, even than I had with the version one.
Wanted to learn more about this process and found this site. Got some really good information while lurking and so decided to join in on the fun.
I am in rural central Missouri, so will be using the smoker not only for the standard stuff, but a good amount of wild game as well.
Looking forward to a lot of good information from this site.
Gary
