Hi everyone, i'm new here, canadian and i wanted to share a new recipe i'm trying. The spring beef jerky! Made with good old canadian(QC) maple syrup =)

i just put it in my oven for drying process and it smells sooo good

Recipe : for 1 pound

Marinade
  • 1 tbsp molasses
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp liquid smoke
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • ½ cup of cold water
I will come back to give some news about it  
 
Looking good.

Might be better though with some good old Pennsylvania Maple Syrup!!

.Hope it turns out as you hope. Maybe a pork version would be tasty.
 
i was pretty good, but i think it miss a little of spicy and saltyness.

result wasn't as good as i think it would be.

i'm a bit disapointed. i didn't use the same meat cut but it don't taste enough spicy, nor sugary or everything..
