Since my gas grill was recently decommissioned my wife and I have been having grilling withdrawals. I started looking at egg cookers and ended up getting an akorn(was going to get a vision but didn't want to get into my fishing $$$). I am impressed! This thing is easy to control and does a great job of cooking. The first night I seasoned it for 2 hours and then threw on some burger. Last night was mojo chicken paninis cooked on the grill and tonight was ribeyes. I plan on doing a small pork roast tomorrow so I can learn to cook low and slow before doing a brisket for Sunday.
I didn't get pics of the paninis or burgers but here is my first egg seared ribeye. I thought I was already a decent steak cook but this one is by far my best.
