Hey Guys,

Pretty Fresh to the whole BBQ and smoking scene, and I have a question about a mod for the Oklahoma Joe I just bought. I want to put a baffle plate in. My question is how far should I extend the plate into the cooking chamber? I was thinking 1/4" steel for the material to use.

Plan to make my own. Was thinking of 1/4" steel angled down towards the bottom, but not sure how far to go down or Towards the end.

Plan to build my own. 1'4" thick steel, not sure How far to go downward or how far to go into the cooking chamber. Don't plan on adding any holes to make it a tuning plate. Just a baffle
