Made a bunch of chicken wings yesterday using my new Vortex chamber I purchased from Owens BBQ. Best wings I've made in a long time. Dusted em up and threw on the Weber with a couple of chunks of hickory for added smoke flavor.

I received the Vortex from my parents for xmas and this was the first time I used it.This really is a simple but amazing tool for this!! I was amazed how quick and how crispy they turned out. Flipped once halfway thru the cook.

Just bought a Vortex from Owens, how hot did you run and about how long did it take, I want to do wing this weekend.

Thanks

I filled my charcoal chimney, when the coals were grey I dumped them into the Vortex, already in position and cooked them. Never really looked or checked the temp. when they were nice and brown I flipped them over for appx the same amount of time. 20 minutes or so total, all depends on how much charcoal and how much heat.
