I been on a break making sausage.

Been building another RC Sailboat.

Got the keel and rudder built. Keel block and rudder blocks in, both bulkheads, transom in and filled and the glass work done.

The cup you see in the bow is for my batteries to be placed in. I have to trim the glass up some, its almost setup.

Got my mast done and whip at the bottom, have my booms to finish yet, servo tray and the deck to finish. My paint is metal flake purple, going to paint the transom fluorescent orange and some fluorescent chevrons from the bow back.

I may do 3lbs of sticks soon.

Your sailboat looks real good Rick!

Is this a kit you buy or are you building it from scratch?

Looking good!  How long does it typically take to build one of these?

Thinking of a name...  SS Knackwurst?
If you stay with it you can have it done in couple weeks. I get to busy being retired....HA

So its taking me longer.

Ahhhh i couldn't do a sausage name on the boat, these guys here would call it the wiener boat.

Hopefully in the water this week. No paint yet as its easier to check for leaks before. Going with purple metal flake, orange mast, booms, hatch cover and transom. The brown you see on the transom is resin with a filler. The inside of the hull i glassed.

Wow Nepas, that boat is beautiful. Can't wait to see the finished paint job. You are a man of many talents.

No leaks? Sailed perfectly?

Ok, who really made it? :sausage:

I've always loved watching the RC boats at the local park, that one looks good. Looking forward to the painted up version.

I did have some help doing the glass work in the hull.

After we get back from Germany i gotta get with the sausage making for Paducah in Sept.

Got my boat sanded with some 600 grit. Double primer and sand, Tacked off and applied 2 coats of purple metal flake enamel.

Gotta wait 2 weeks before a 1500 grit wet sand. Hatch covers on to see what it looks like. From the water line down the bottom hull will not be painted.
