Hi everyone this is my first time posting- I live in Midwest and I just got an electric smoker. I want to learn how to smoke meat. Would buying the wood chips help. I welcome advise! Thanks all!

. Browse the forums and ask lots of questions, get involved. There is a an amazing amount of info, recipes and knowledge here that are second to none. Enjoy good luck and share your experiences. 

  Check out hthe forums and search threads on electric smokers. There are a ton of different people here using them. A go to from one of our sponsors is the AMNPS or AMNPTS from A-Maze-N. I would recommend looking that up as well. 
 
Welcome and definitely look into the A-MAZE-N Pellet Smoke Generators. Load pellets of choice, light them and you are good for hours of smoke. Chips you would be adding every 30 minutes. Makes for a long night of babysitting...JJ
