Hi Smokers

I am 78 yrs old and just bought a used Cabelas 7 in 1 smoker. We live in Iowa and have a lakeside camper spot @ Eastside Campgrounds in Minnesota. My plan is to get away from burgers and hotdogs and while fishing, do some smoking.

I have been reading this forum for hrs and decided to subscribe. I've signed up for the 5 day e-course, read a lot of TulsaJeff's

writings. I will be asking for suggestions and guidance.

Thanks in advance for the time.

Well sir, welcome aboard.  It's never too late to pick up this amazing addiction, errr, hobby, and enjoy taking the plunge.  Tons of ideas and recipes out and about to be had, and there's tons of good folks here to help guide you as well.  The only dumb questions are the ones that you don't ask:  if you don't find what you're looking for in the search engine, please reach out.  I believe one of our esteemed members, Mr. Omak referenced a phrase (or something similar) that basically said that if we don't know the answers, we'll tell you something anyway.  Hardly true, especially where he's concerned, and there are many others here who are treasure troves of info.  Make it fun, enjoy, and welcome.
