  Holy Crap......... So I went to the A-Maze-N site to order a bunch of product, I calculate the shipping and get a total and Wham..... welcome to our crappy exchange and crappy delivery process. Just over a $100 to place and ship the order.....  

 So I am wondering before I push the button to checkout I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a discount / coupon code anywhere like some of the other suppliers available to us?? 

 If anyone can let me know or point me in the right direction I would be grateful. Thx. Charlie

Thx. Guys, I am off for our spring break coming up mid March to mid June this year I'm thinking. So I just called the wife and put the bug back in her ear about taking a quick trip stateside again during my time down. Make a mini holiday of it. We were planning a month long ride south but had to postpone until next year due to family. Appreciate it. Thx. Charlie

I wouldn't order with shipping to Canada (from US). On top of what already seem a lot of $ you might get hit with GST and custom broker charges (around C$ last time I made that mistake).

If you don't know already: there is a network of "mailbox" centers near border crossings (US side) called kinek. You can get your stuff shipped there for as little as $5 (pick up fee). That is what I do. Arrange with someone to pick it up when crossing.

Thx. Atomic, I just found a mailbox / address depot type that does this across our border. I will be calling in the am to set one up and get things going. I am going to start a list and go south for a couple days or so.

If you spend the night in US you are allowed a small exemption, so no GST assessed on some of the purchases. If you are out of the country 48h you can bring some booze too and the exemption is significantly better bigger.

I batch my US on line purchases and drive down to Niagara twice a year. For me is not far, a little over an hour.

I'm in Ottawa and at the time, ordered one online from Barbecue World in Vaughan.  Shipping was reasonable.

They have a store in Kanata now too.

Yes - which is both convenient and dangerous at the same time.  At the time that I bought my A-Maze-N smoker though it was not yet open so I can confirm that they not only sell them but that they sell them online as well.

BTW - even if it is a bit more expensive due to the exchange rate - it is definitely a worthwhile investment.  I use it all the time.
