Hi   i'm new here and looking to get my first smoker. I live in Alberta Canada and i'm looking to get my first smoker. I'd like to get a propane one as we do lots of camping. It seems very hard to find an insulated propane smoker. I would like to cook in it year around and with the cold temps here i don't know if a non insulated smoker will do the job. Any siggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I"m an hour south west of Red Deer.  I guess my first question is why can't i find a propane smoker that is insulated for these cold Alberta days?

I have seen insulated blankets for BBQ's and pellet grills, Have you tried the manufacturer's websites? I have never used propane smoker so I am not sure how the temps would be for control. Electric can be used but it's tuff in our winters. A blanket would be a definite help. Check into it.
