Hello everyone, my name is Stephen and I'm somewhat new to smoking. I got a masterbuilt 30" electric smoker this past Christmas. I've used it a couple times now. I'm currently in the process of smoking a sirloin tip.

Welcome from SC, Stephen. It's really good to have you on this great site. I don't know anything about electric smokers, but there is a sub-site that will give you a ton of reading on them.

Good luck and good smoking, Joe. :grilling_smilie:

I loved my Brinkman electric smoker. Despite what is says about electric smokers, I always soak and put chips directly on the heating element for a proper smoke. Never use wood briquettes that are soaked. They will destroy your heating element.
