I'm Mike, from Spring Green, WI.  I've never owned a smoker before now, I just picked up the Cajun Injector Glass Door Electric Smoker from Cabelas the other day.  Hopefully I have good luck with it.  I'm going to season it tomorrow and try a venison roast and a brisket on Sunday.  Any tips for smoking either of those?

Good afternoon and welcome to the forum from a chilly and breezy day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web.                      Lots of great people with tons of information on just about everything.

Welcome
There is a ton of great info here and a lot of helpful people
I've never done venison on the smoker but I'd be careful not to dry it out with the really low fat count.

Good luck and enjoy

Hi, I too am from the Stoughton area of Wisconsin. Would you care to share you pickled fish recipe with us? Also, what type of fish did you pickle here in the picture. Thanks the fish looks great.

It is bluegill and northern. The brine is vinegar, sugar, pickling spice and white zin. The recipe is on YouTube if you wanna see it. It's out of this world. Look for the video of the guy on the houseboat
