Hello, I am looking for the weld in fittings for temp gauges. I would also like to find remote temp probe fittings that allow you to pass the proves through. Any advice is appreciated.

Pending how your smoker is set up you can drill a hole and use 1/2 black pipe with threaded washers on both ends to make your pass throughs when the temp probes is not in use cap it with a black pipe end cap.

In the electrical dept. at Lowe's, there is a cable entrance connector for a couple of bucks. Get these, drill a hole and install with the lock nut provided. As for the gauges, if there are no screw in locations on your smoker, you can just drill a hole and put the gauges in the hole and secure with lock nuts. The lock nuts come with River Country therms and have to be bought separately for other brands.

Maverick sells the grommets although they are about 8 bucks for 2. I just Googled high temp silicone grommets and found 10 for I think 9 and change after shipping. I can't remember the company but quite a few places have them in various sizes. I like them just drill a hole and shove them in. The probe itself is a tight fit and the cable is loose but not so loose that you'd have a leak.
