Did my first Boston butt today in my mes! Took 10 hours for a 4.5lb. Cooked it at 225 for the first 7 hours then my stomach started rumbling so cranked it up to 275 did. It foil while cooking. Got that nice bark on it! (I believe at least!)Just took it off and wrapped it in foil to rest for a bit. I'll post more pics when I cut into this lil guy! (The pan it's on in the pic was the dripping catcher. Cooked it right on the rack with the pan below to catch the drippings)
 
It's been said before but I'll say it again! Thanks to all on this forum for all the tips and knowledge!
 
 Way to go, What did you use for smoke/wood flavor, Any ideas on next smoke?? I am in smoker envey and living vicariously through this forum until my stint in is over and thennnnn.....  well I can see myself gaining weight lol

Thanks, I used apple wood chips. With a "cowboy rub" from mccormick. Not sure what's next. Thinking ribs and seafood so the wife will eat something I smoke! Salmon or mahi
