Looks wonderful, Great color. points for sure, At least your getting it cheap there. Last Brisket I went to get I stopped at a butcher shop where I was working, $120 for 11#...... So needless to say I didn't buy it.

Thanks,I'm hoping it tastes as well as it looks!
$120 yikes!! I agree prices are crazy in some areas for sure.

Great brisket b-one!  I've never found a prime, but choice is more then 4.50 per lb.  Now I'm jealous of your brisket and your tri-tip scores!

Thanks Mike, best of all no mold in my smokers! I was happy to find the price on prime not that we smoke brisket all the time but at 50 cents a pound it's easy to pull the trigger.

I burned the mold out over the weekend and then smoked a 4 lb butt yesterday.  It was the smallest butt I've ever smoked, but I think it was the best! Probably because I haven't smoked anything for a while.

Sounds great, I like bark on my butts if I can get away with it I eat a bark sammie off the bat perk of dealing with the meat.

Got 2 Costco's in my area ( North  New Jersey)  none carry Prime. Spoke to one of the meat managers still can't get to bring them in!!

I get choice Superior Angus at Restaurant Depot.. I would love to try a prime!!!

Start filling the comment box with cards requesting them.  I've done it in the past for a salsa that my local quit carrying, filled out the comment cards (and told everyone I knew who were members to do same), and they brought it back not long thereafter.  I recently spoke with a manager about the comment boxes:  she said that these cards go directly to their buyers, and if there's enough call for something, she said they're very receptive to bringing it in/back.

Good Looking Brisket , Great Color Mmmmmm

Wow! Nice looking brisket.
Fortunately we have a Costco within a few miles that carries prim brisket full packers for just pennies more then Sam's choice cut I think they are around $2.79 a pound right now. It's all I buy and the good news is that they are building a Costco right down the street from me. I don't like their pork butts because they debone them so I buy those at Ssm's which is just a few blocks from my house. I am vey fortunate to have both clubs so close and have a membership to both. But
the way I smoke my briskets you really can't tell prime from choice, they all come out tender, juice and tasty from flat to point every time.

Great looking job on the brisket...wishing mine was done now lol. Hoping to get my skill level up with Randy's someday. Mine aren't quite that consistent yet

Thanks Randy, good to know about the butts. For only 20 cents a pound difference between my local GFS I'll go with the prime.
