I put a good size brisket flat in my propane smoker at 9am this morning but had to run out for a few hrs. At noon. When I got back my smoker had run out of propane while I was gone. I threw it in the oven do you think it'll be ok?

I would expect it will be ok. What will matter IMHO is what temp was the smoker at when you put it in and what was the temp of the outer layer of meat when you put it into the over. Also, you might want the over to be set a bit higher than the smoker (maybe 325) for an hour or so to kill anything on the surface that might have started. Then lower it to 275 until it reaches the desired internal temp.

I am putting in my limited 2cents as no one else has responded. Wait on others like Chef JJ to chime in. Don't give up on it until someone like him shares their wide knowledge on meat safety and getting out of a scary situation. He is here every day and will bet he will be online soon.

As suggested above you should be fine only thing may be how muck smoke you got before it ran out. Lesson learned all ways check your propane before you start.
