Tonight will be my first attempt at making brats. My local grocery store has sells an apple/maple/Brown sugar brat that sounded awful at first but turned out to be amazing. Anyone have a similar recipie? I have a decent grinde, an 11lb stuffer, roughly 20lbs of pork and 20 lbs of venison to work with. I'm thinking of doing half standard brats and half Brown sugar. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

My gosh there are probably a ton of brat recipes on here.

Do a search & see what you come up with.

Also would you swing by "Roll Call" & introduce yourself, so we can all welcome you to SMF!

Thanks Al,

I just posted in the roll call. I'm not to familiar with the forum search functions yet. I've found some interesting brat recipes to try tonight, but haven't been able to find any that sound similar to the local brats (apple Brown sugar) I would love to try to replicate. I'll keep looking!

There is a post from a few years ago for Apple Pork Sausage with brown sugar. I can't post a link with this notebook. Do a search and sub in Brat seasonings for a small batch. That should get you started...JJ
