I have the Bighorn pellet grill and when I place the dial on smoke the temperature drops and the hopper has more smoke coming out of it than is in the barrel. someone help me....!

Not familiar with your smoker, but is the hopper fan working, if it has one?

My GMG does, and its needed to keep the pellets from burning up the auger tube into the hopper.

I'm thinking a call to the manufacturer might be in order.

Good luck..
