Hey everyone.  Looking forward to seeing all the information I can learn from on this site.  I just got a Masterbuilt Elite Smoker,  I was using a barrel cooker (and still will) but up here in MN can make smoking in the Winter a pain.  Never used an IT thermometer and smoked my first pork butt in the new smoker and had one heckuva stall.  I've known about them but never watched it happen with a thermometer.  Smoking two more this week for a work party and thinking I might have to use the Texas Crutch on them so I'm not awake all day.  Thanks in advance for the future help and look forward to getting familiar with people here.

Good morning and welcome to the forum from a nice sunny day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great            people with tons of information on just about everything.

Yeah. Not ideal but have to feed the addiction. Thanks for the welcome.

Hello from South Dakota! Temps below freezing and I have problems keeping temps up in my vertical charcoal smoker too. I've done a couple quick smokes on single digit days (tri tip and chicken). These folks are wonderful here, and all of us love to see pictures of smokers and what you cook!
