Carolina's.
Bought an a-maze-n 4x6, a bag of new pellets and a bernzomatic butane torch, pellets light quick, blow out flame after 1 minute, close door on masterbilt 30 inch with door cracked 1/8 inch and vent wide open, pellets smoke and burn all the way to end of a row then goes out, won't make the turn, I'm on the third row where I need to re-lite!

Any suggestions??

They drying pellets in microwave might be damp or I have noticed there is a sweet spot on how much pellets you have in them too . I fought mine a time or to when I first got it and just played with it works great now .good luck

Make sure the corners are packed full of pellets as it seems the extra pellets are needed for the burn to continue around the corner.

How many minutes in the microwave would you say?  FYI: lighting them was easy and fast flame, no sparking nor sputtering that is typically seen when pellets have a moisture content.  But insurance is always a good thing!

Should corners be above metal? I leveled everything off, but what you say makes sense.

I fill mine and shake it good to settle everything, add more to bring the pellets level with the metal then add a few more in the corners to kind of heap them up. Just make sure that burning pellets can't roll into the next row and start it burning before its time.

If you pellets are lighting that easy then I would say there probably dry enough.

Only go 30 seconds at a rip in the nuker. And DON'T walk away from nuker. Pellets will catch on fire if left in there too long.

If the first row is staying lit, I don't think nuking the pellets will matter.  If the pellets were damp you would be having problems in the first row and that would be going out fairly quickly.  It has to be either airflow related or not enough pellets at the corner.  Where in the MES are you setting the tray?

I've never had mine go out at the corner, but I have had damp pellets in the summer and had to nuke them (in Georgia, the humid South).  I now store my unused pellets in the garage.  It is the hottest part of the house and dang near zero chance of any moisture on the pellets in there.
