I'm getting ready to brine my first turkey destined for the smoker tomorrow. My brine is going to consist of chicken broth in place of water, celery seed, garlic powder, onion powder, rosemary leaves, Creole seasoning, Sage leaves,a pinch of Adobo and a fine chopped onion.

Please tell me what you think especially about the chicken broth instead of the water I'd really like some input before I get this started in about 2 hours

Late to the party, but you would get more flavor out of Injecting the broth. There are many flavor compounds the will be slow to penetrate the meat if at all. Brining happens on a molecular level. Small molecules like Salt penetrate fast and easily. sugar, much larger, is slow getting in. I would just use Water and the other aromatics in the Brine with 1/2 Cup Kosher salt per gallon and use the broth to make gravy...JJ
