Time for cold smoking.

Pecan in the tube in my kettle.



Cold smoked the steak for 1 hour. It could have used longer.



Then fired up the vortex with leftover lump.



Once settled down I put the steak on



Only a couple mins on each side.





Love winter time for cold smoking. BTW it's 27 here.

Looks tasty Adam! Ice cold smoking here this week! It finally warmed up above freezing. But there's another round of below freezing weather coming Monday.

Next time try cold smoking without the rub on it then when you pull it out to start the vortex you can add the rub. It should allow more smoke flavor strait to the meat.
