Near Pensacola, in NW Fla.
Saw somewhere where there was a man who got tired of paying so much for factory made thermocouples so he started making his own and selling them.  I can't find that post so could one of you fine gentlemen point me to that guy?

Thanks OB One

Not familiar with the person you are looking for, but you do not state what you will be using them for, insertion or smoke box..

If you are looking for a meat probe, that is something that will work better with a smooth cover over the junction of the two wires for it to slide in and out of the meat.

If you are just looking for smoker temps at various places inside your smoker, you can find solid strand theromocouple wire and strip the ends about an inch and twist it together for your measuring point and attach to your electronics as required.  If you have a short lead from an existing connector, just connect color to color.  The dissimilar metals on the twisted end is where the temp will be measured.

Not sure what kind of display you are trying to connect to, the electronics will have to match the TC wire type.  There are different temp range thermocouples but J type is the most common and will measure -346 to 1,400F.

Good luck to you..
